Training days are where preparation meets purpose.

Our volunteers spent the day sharpening search skills, strengthening teamwork, and preparing for the moments that matter most.

Every exercise, every lesson, and every hour of training helps ensure we are ready to respond when a family calls for help.

Thank you to everyone who continues to dedicate their time, energy, and heart to the mission.

Every search starts with a plan.

Before volunteers move into the field, teams gather, review the area, share instructions, and prepare for the work ahead.

These moments may seem simple, but they help keep the search focused, organized, and safe.

Because when families are waiting for answers, every detail matters.

Thank you to Throwback Tavern, Jane Sharp, everyone who participated in the charity cook-off, and all who came out to support Texas EquuSearch.

It was especially meaningful to have two of the original six searchers from 2000 join us and thank Tim Miller for keeping the dream alive.

Special thanks to our judges, Karen Vincent, Debbie Doyle, and Tim Miller, and to Throwback Tavern for their generous $10,000 donation. We are humbled and grateful for a community that continues to believe in our mission.

Every year, members of the Texas EquuSearch search teams travel to Texas State University to learn from Dr. Daniel J. Wescott, a respected biological anthropologist and longtime friend of Tim Miller and the Texas EquuSearch family.

This training helps searchers better distinguish between human and non-human remains in the field.

This year’s group included TXEQ team members, Detective Fidencio Gonzales of Dickinson Police Department, Mary Beth Wright of the FBI, and others committed to helping families find answers.

Training like this helps us better serve families seeking closure and justice.

Every hour matters because every hour is an opportunity to find answers.

When a loved one is missing, families measure time differently.

Every call, every lead, every search effort matters.

That’s why Texas EquuSearch volunteers continue showing up, working together, and giving their time to help bring answers home.

Lost is not alone.
