First permit me to apologize, as this letter is long overdue. As you will recall, your organization provided my department with assistance during the Blanca Cuellar abduction in April of this year.
Searching vast areas in short order is a difficult task for any public safety entity. It is reassuring to know that there are organizations such as yours and volunteers who are willing to sacrifice their time to aid law enforcement, especially when manpower resources are limited.
I wish to extend my appreciation to you, your organization and the many volunteers for the effort put forth for the Cuellar family and the Missouri City Police Department. While Blanca is still listed as a missing person and her abductor is deceased, we feel confident that one day we will locate her and bring closure for her family.
