APPREHENDED:
UPDATE (6/28/25): In March 2025, Texas EquuSearch was contacted by law enforcement to assist in the search for Casey Baker, who had been reported missing under circumstances initially believed to be related to a possible suicide. In response, our dedicated volunteers conducted numerous detailed and extensive searches over multiple days, committed to locating Mr. Baker or bringing closure to his loved ones.
This week, we were informed by law enforcement that Casey Baker had intentionally staged his disappearance in an effort to evade arrest. We are relieved to report that he has now been located and apprehended, and he will face the justice system for the heinous crimes of which he has been charged.
While rare, situations where individuals deliberately vanish to avoid consequences do occur. Regardless of the circumstances, our mission remains the same: to support law enforcement when called upon and to respond swiftly and thoroughly to missing persons cases. We search in partnership with investigators-confident in their ongoing efforts behind the scenes-and often, our role is not only to find where someone is, but also to help determine where they are not, helping narrow the facts of an evolving case.
We extend our deep appreciation to the volunteers who spent their time and energy on the search efforts for this case, and we thank law enforcement for their tireless work in ensuring that Casey Baker was ultimately found and brought into custody.
Casey was last seen near the 6900 block of N. Wayside Dr., Houston, Texas 77028. Casey was likely on foot and is familiar with the area. It is unknown what clothing Casey was wearing, but is usually seen wearing work boots. Casey may have been experiencing a mental health episode and his whereabouts are unknown. If you have seen Casey, know of his current whereabouts, or may have given him a ride on or near March 7th, please contact the Houston Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit referencing case number 311637-25 or call Texas EquuSearch with any information at (281) 309-9500.
