A heartfelt thanks to the San Jacinto 4-H Club of Santa Fe for choosing Texas EquuSearch as their charity.

These folks collected essential supplies to support our search efforts....practical items that make a real impact when we’re in the field.

Representing the 4-H Club were Caitlyn Edwards, Eric Edwards, and Andrea Edwards. On behalf of Texas EquuSearch, Tim Miller was joined by Kayla McAllister, Dana Tew, Al Jamail, and Allen Smith.

Because of community partners like this, we’re able to continue our mission of never leaving a family alone.

Some searches require boots on the ground.

Others require paws.

Meet the Texas EquuSearch K-9 Division, led by Brenda Peek, Director of K-9 Operations.

For more than five years, our Human Remains Detection (HRD) K-9 teams have served as a critical resource in search and recovery operations, working in close coordination with law enforcement and incident command.

K-9 Belle: 12 confirmed recoveries and extensive national training. Calm. Focused. Mission-ready.
K-9 Tsunami: newly certified and already demonstrating strong drive and confidence in challenging environments.

Behind every successful deployment is disciplined preparation, detailed planning, and high standards--the culture Brenda has built and continues to strengthen with Assistant Director Ashley Russell and team member Hanna Wingard.

This team helps us ensure we fulfill our promise to never leave a family alone.

Tim Miller recently crossed paths with our friends Monica Baynearts and Scott McCalister of Coastal Ice and Water.

Their team faithfully delivers pallets of water to support our search efforts each month — a simple act that makes a real difference in the field. Because of partners like them, our volunteers stay safe, hydrated, and ready to serve.

We’re grateful for businesses that stand with us as we continue to ensure our mission.

Search work does not stop when the sun goes down.

Sometimes answers require long hours, specialized tools, and people willing to keep going after dark.

Every sweep, every scan, every careful pass of equipment is part of the same purpose, doing everything possible to help a family find closure.

Quiet dedication often happens far from the spotlight.

Every search begins with a plan.

Before anyone steps into the field, there is conversation, coordination, and clear direction.

Maps are reviewed, assignments are given, and everyone understands their role.

Good searches are not built on luck.

They are built on teamwork and preparation.

Kindness doesn’t need an audience to matter.

It shows up quietly, works steadily, and leaves a lasting mark.

At Texas EquuSearch, compassion is what guides every search, every step, and every effort to help families in need.

Every mission needs a strong foundation.

Just like this piece of wood, shaped by time and endurance, the work of Texas Equusearch has been built the same way, with steady effort, patience, and purpose over many years.

Our founder, Tim Miller, has always believed that lasting things are not rushed. They are formed through commitment, experience, and a heart for helping others.

The mission continues, one day at a time.
