#LostIsNotAlone

Recently, Tim Miller presented Claire Mules and David Johnson with a special 25th Anniversary Lost Is Not Alone award in recognition of their unwavering dedication to honoring Texas EquuSearch volunteers each year.

“Our volunteers are the backbone of this organization, and to honor them is to honor Laura,” Tim shared.

Claire and David have poured years of love, effort, and excellence into creating a celebration worthy of the people who serve on the front lines of our mission.

Their work made our 25th anniversary the best yet, and we are deeply grateful.

Every year, Tim Miller and his longtime friend, Agent Tommy Hansen, place an angel on the Christmas tree inside the Galveston City Courthouse in honor of Tim’s daughter, Laura Miller. This year was no different.

For 41 years, they have remembered and honored the lives of Laura Miller, Ellen Beason, Heidi Fye, Audrey Cook, and Donna Prudhomme—placing their angels alongside so many others whose lives were taken by violent crime.

We invite you to join us in praying for these families. May their loved ones never be forgotten.

This weekend, we got to do something we don’t often do—slow down for a moment and join our hometown for the Annual Dickinson Hometown Christmas Parade.

And to our surprise… we drove away with 1st place.

Our volunteers poured their hearts into the float, our neighbors lined the streets, and for one night, the lights, laughter, and community reminded us why we do what we do.

Thanks to the Dickinson Rotary Club for organizing the event and hosting us!

To our volunteers, thank you for showing up—on the easy days and the hard ones.

We’re proud of this community. Proud to serve it.

And yes… proud of that shiny new trophy too. 🎄🏆

Our founder, Tim Miller, was invited to the FBI headquarters in Houston to share the work Texas EquuSearch has carried out over the last 25 years.

He spoke about what our teams have experienced in the field, what we have learned, and the families who are still waiting for answers.

Tim has worked beside law enforcement for many years, and these relationships continue to make a real difference in the searches we lead.

Thank you to FBI Houston for welcoming him and for the support they show to victims and their families.

The work is not easy.

The hours are long, the terrain is rough, and the calls come without warning.

But our purpose keeps us moving.

Families are waiting for answers, and that is why we show up again and again.

There is no easy way to prepare for the moments that matter most.

Every search demands grit, patience, and the willingness to push through the uncomfortable.

Our teams go wherever the work takes us, even into deep water and thick brush, because families are counting on us.

It means a great deal to hear these words from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a leader who has stood with us through some of the toughest searches.

Our teams work in heat, water, woods, and difficult terrain, and having law enforcement partners who understand the urgency makes a real difference for families waiting for answers.

We are grateful for Sheriff Gonzalez and his continued support of our mission.

It is an honor to serve this community alongside one another.
