The Texas EquuSearch organization is very saddened, and shocked to learn that a body – thought to be that of 33 year-old Heidi Broussard from Austin, Texas has tragically been found deceased in the Houston, Texas area. But protocol and procedures require that the body’s identity be positively confirmed by medical authorities and law enforcement investigators. But Heidi’s precious, little 3 week old baby, Margot Carey has been found alive, and physically unharmed at the same location in the Houston area. Hopefully she will be re-united with her surviving family members by Christmas, and she’ll be hugged and loved by her loved ones throughout the holidays, and from now on. It’s always saddening whenever anyone loses their life. But in this season of joy, praise and celebration, a human life was needlessly taken, and an innocent little baby’s life was spared. Heidi’s death may cast a dark shadow over this time of the year for many of Heidi’s family and friends, but the love of baby Margot might also shine upon her family, and provide a bright light of hope, faith and love. We at Texas EquuSearch work to keep hope and faith in the families of missing persons, but the end results sometimes are devastating to the families. But we try extremely hard to bring every missing person home alive. However, sometimes, God has other plans.
We ask that everyone please keep Heidi and Margot’s family, friends and her community in your thoughts and prayers during this tragic time, of such a joyous season. We also ask that you keep the Texas EquuSearch organization your prayers. We congratulate the FBI, Texas Rangers, the Austin Police Department and the many other departments and agencies involved in the search for Heidi and Margot. You diligence, professional skills and expertise was magnificent, and Texas EquuSearch wants to say “Thank You”.

33 year-old Heidi Broussard and 2 week-old Margot Carey mysteriously disappeared from their home in Austin, Texas on December 12th 2019. Heidi was last known to be wearing a purple-colored shirt with long sleeves, but there is no further clothing information on her clothing. It is unknown what color of baby clothing that Margot was wearing.
