8/2/19 — The search for Brittany Burfield is now over. Tim Miller and Houston Police Department investigators have recovered human remains that are thought to be those of Brittany, but positive identification must still be confirmed by medical authorities and law enforcement investigators. We ask that everyone please keep Brittany’s family and friends in your thoughts and prays during this most tragic time in their lives.
07/12/18 — The search for Brittany Leigh Burfield will continue tomorrow, July 13, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. We will be in need of searchers on foot and ATVs. Our staging address is 2201 Tuam, Jerusalem Baptist Church. Enter behind church off Hutchins street. Please hydrate prior to coming out, and bring your own snacks and water. 07/02/18 — The active search for 37-year-old Brittany Burfield will begin on Tuesday, July 3rd, at 8:30 a.m. The Search Command Center will be located at Deerwood Road and Harbor Oaks in West Houston 77042. From Beltway 8 headed South, exit Deerwood/Briar Forest. On the feeder road, you will pass Terry Hershey Park–then will immediately see Creekstone Apartments. Immediately after Creekstone Apartments, you will see Deerwood Road. Turn right. The Command Center will be located at the end of this short road. 07/01/18 — Britany Leigh Burfield, age 37, was last seen on June 25, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Brittany has a 2” tattoo of a female Egyptian eye on the back of her neck. Brittany left her mother’s house in Sugar Land at 2pm. Her vehicle was located in the Westchase area of Houston on June 30. Brittany was last seen wearing a dark colored skort/(skirt/shorts) and black sleeveless V-neck shirt.
