Dear Tim:
It was a pleasure for me to join you this past week as we worked together towards a resolution for the Holloway family in their search for Natalee. I feel confident we will continue on our quest and will one day bring Natalee home – where she belongs.
As a member of the House of Representatives for the state of Kansas, I will continue to serve you by fighting to protect our children from those who seek to harm and destroy them. I am very concerned with the sex crimes that are being committed against children which have become so easy, yet so exceptionally hard to investigate. I feel we owe the children of our nation more protection than they are currently getting from these vicious and evil criminals. Anyone who preys on a child should be punished in a way that deters that individual from ever harming another victim.
In this upcoming Legislative Session, I will introduce Jessica’s Law in the Kansas House of Representatives. This law, once signed, will further monitor convicted sex offenders upon their release from prison. Thus far, I have garnered tremendous support for this bill in both the House and the Senate and look forward to Governor Sebelius singing it info law. Simultaneously, I will be implementing a program to the students in my district to educate/inform them on the dangers of sexual predators in our area. For additional information on Jessica’s Law or guidelines on how to educate/inform the children in your area, please contact me at (913) 766-6556 assistance.
Please continue to focus your time and energy by supporting the Holloway family and others in comparable circumstances. With your resources, along with legislative reform, we will make great changes for our citizens throughout the nation and the world. God bless you.
Respectfully yours,
State Representative Patricia Kilpatrick
District 29
