Walker, Greg – Bridge City, TX, 11/13/08

Greg Walker, age 41, was last seen on September 13th, 2008. He was headed back to his home and was caught in the storm of “IKE” around Bridge City and the Rainbow bridge. He was wearing a hunter green tank top and olive green shorts. He has a bared wire tattoo on his upper right arm, a rebel flag with a dog around the center of his left upper arm and a dagger on left forearm.

After 4 days of searching by Texas EquuSearch, the body of Greg Walker was found in the marshy area near the road where he had been traveling.  Texas EquuSearch would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, especially those who brought airboats and ATV’s and enabled us to bring Greg home to his family.  This was a dangerous search, with snakes, alligators and wildlife washed up from the hurricane.  Searchers went above and beyond in searching the debris field, many of them after having suffered through their own losses during the hurricane.

Funeral services for Greg Walker, a hurricane Ike victim have been set.  Visitation is scheduled from 11 am to 8 pm Wednesday at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland. A graveside service is set for 2 pm on Thursday at the Lorraine Cemetery in Bell City, Southeast of Lake Charles.
