UPDATED: GARY FRANCIS LOCATED DECASED -(April 20, 2026)
Texas EquuSearch members began a two-day search for missing fisherman, Gary Francis in Drum Bay, Brazoria County. During this afternoon search, members located Mr. Francis in a marsh area not far from his vehicle.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to Todd Brock, who provided his helicopter services and Lloyd Thorton for providing his air boat. You both were instrumental in the recovery of Gary and helped bring Gary home to his family. We cannot thank you enough! We also would like to sincerely thank Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office for their support and assistance throughout the search. 
Gary Francis was last seen April 17, 2026, in Drum Bay, Texas. Gary’s vehicle was found parked at the fishing location. He hasn’t been heard from or seen since.
