UPDATE (5/2/25): After a request from the Houston Police Department the afternoon of Thursday, May 1, 2025, our team responded without hesitation. Volunteers quickly mobilized and searched tenaciously for Nicolas Lestrer—working late into the evening and returning the following day with unwavering commitment. We are deeply grateful to all who searched tirelessly—on foot and by ATV— ultimately, our Texas EquuSearch kayak team whose precise and methodical work on the water led to Nicolas’s location and brought the search to a close.
To Nicolas’s family, we extend our heartfelt condolences, not only for his loss, but also that of his beloved wife. Our hearts are with you as you endure this unimaginable loss.. Nicolas Lestrer, 81, was last seen on May 1, 2025. Per HPD: “Missing Person was last known to be on foot from the 12000 block of Westmere Dr. Missing Person was reported to possibly wearing a black tank top and has a gray Astros hat with logo. Missing Person may also have his orange cat.
