Some moments are about searching.

Some moments are about bringing dignity, care, and peace to families still carrying loss.

This work takes compassion, patience, and people willing to stand beside others during the hardest moments of their lives.

That is part of the mission too.

A big thank you to Outriggers, Schaefer’s, and JLS Restaurants for once again hosting the Barefoot Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Bridge Over Troubled Water and Texas EquuSearch.

Karen Kim was on hand for the “Beat the Pro” challenge, helping raise funds for a great cause. Brandon Backe gave it a shot, but Karen held her ground.

We also want to thank Texas EquuSearch volunteers Beverly Smith, Debbie Doyle, Lisa Hansen, and Rilene Purvis for being there and representing the mission.

Special appreciation to John and Janae Schaefer. Thank you both for your continued support and for always showing up for Texas EquuSearch.

Y’all are family to us.

Texas EquuSearch Drone Team Leader Allen Smith introduces longtime volunteer Gene Robinson.

For over 20 years, Gene has been developing drone technology, training teams, refining software, and supporting searches across the country alongside Tim Miller.

As Allen launched the Texas EquuSearch Drone Team, he called on Gene to help bring that experience forward.

Today, a team of 10 Texas EquuSearch volunteers, with experience ranging from 1 to 20 years, is ready to support search efforts and help reduce the time it takes to find missing loved ones.

Thank you to each of these volunteers for giving your time, knowledge, and commitment to families who need answers.

Another example of Texas EquuSearch and law enforcement working side by side during a water search.

We’re grateful to the law enforcement teams who show up, coordinate, and support these efforts every step of the way. These searches take time, patience, and commitment from everyone involved.

All with one goal, to find answers and help bring closure to families.

Some moments are quiet.

A pause between the work.

A chance to catch your breath before continuing.

But the mission never stops.

Behind every search are people willing to put in the time, the effort, and the hard work it takes.

Because what we do matters to someone waiting for answers.

That’s what keeps us going.
