Michaela “Mickey” Shunick, 21 Yrs., Lafayette, LA, 05/19/12

08/07/12 — It is with very heavy hearts that we report that the body of Mickey Shunick has been located deceased.  Our prayers go to Mickey’s family and friends during their time of grief. We want to thank all of our volunteers who traveled to Louisiana on more than one occasion to help find Mickey, and for the tireless work that everyone did in hopes of bringing Mickey home. As you probably know, there has been an arrest in her case. We also want to thank all of the law enforcement agencies who worked together on this case. Please keep Mickey’s family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time.

05/23/12 — Michaela “Mickey” Shunick, age 22, was last seen on May 19, 2011 at around 2:00 a.m. in the area of Ryan Street in Lafayette, LA. Michaela was last seen wearing a multi-colored pastel crop top, light blue jean acid washed jeans, grey pointed-toe booties (short ankle boots) and a tan bag worn as a backpack. She has a tattoo of a bicycle on her outer right ankle. She also has a nose ring in her left nostril.
