MISSING: Kendra Nystrom, 31 Yrs., Maize, Kansas (05/04/17)

07/30/18 — At the request of the Maize, Kansas PD, The Kansas Chapter of Texas EquuSearch joined the search for missing 31-year-old Kendra Nystrom in July of this year. Recently, the water levels of the search area receded, enabling us to locate evidence that otherwise may have not been discovered. According to Law Enforcement, the Sedgewick County Regional Forensic Center confirmed one of these items tested positive for Kendra’s DNA.

As of today, Kendra is still considered a missing person and our search efforts are ongoing. We will request volunteer assistance should it become necessary. In the meantime, we would like to thank the citizen volunteers that have inquired or already assisted with this search, the local agencies involved, as well as the media for their support. We especially wish to acknowledge the Maize Police Department for their 14 month ongoing investigation. Their time and effort in addition to the tremendous amount of resources expended was the key factor in assisting us with this significant recovery.

We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers.

Thank you.
