REMAINS IDENTIFIED: Angela Phillips, Houston, TX, 03/15/10

03/25/10 — On December 15, 2009, one of our long-time members, Darryl Phillips, was notified by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office that his sister, Angela Phillips, was possibly in the morgue. On Monday, March 15, 2010, the Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified Angela, which brings a 23-year search for her to an end. Angela’s cause of death is homicidal violence, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. The search for her killer begins now.

Angela’s body was buried in the Harris County Cemetery in northeast Houston, where there are no headstones, only markers. It is where her body has rested since 1986, known only by a number: ML-86-5825.

The Phillips family is trying to raise money to re-bury Angela near her mother and her case has been reclassified from missing person to homicide. We ask that you keep Angela’s family and friends in your prayers.
