8th ANNUAL HOLLY LAKE WILDLAND SEARCH AND RESCUE
CONFERENCE

WHEN……………. March 21 – 22, 2009
WHERE………….. Holly Lake Ranch (From Hawkins, take Hwy. 14 North for seven miles to 4-way stop. Take FM 2869 East (Right Turn) for three miles to Holly Lake VFD.
FEE……………….. $40 for Saturday and Sunday classes. Includes lunch both days, T-Shirt, emergency whistle and training materials.
REGISTRATION… 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. both days. Pre-registration requested by March 13, 2009. Include T-shirt sizes for all participants.
WHO……………… All members of volunteer, paid, or part-paid fire departments of cities and industries who want the latest training in Wildland Search and Rescue techniques and related operations.
WHY………………. To keep abreast of new opportunities and developments in the fire service and gain experience in Wildland Search and Rescue techniques and behavioral tendencies of lost victims in a wildland environment.
COURSE INFORMATION: This year’s program will consist of Basic and Intermediate level programs to provide tactical information in conducting Wildland Search and Rescue operations. Program is being taught by representatives of the Air/Land Emergency Rescue Team (ALERT Academy) and Texas Forest Service. Participation in the Basic Class required prior attendance in the Intermediate Class.
