02/02/12 — Texas EquuSearch had a fundraiser at Marguerites on January 21, 2012. The Fundraiser brought in close to $13,000.00 after expenses. We would like to thank the owners of Marguerites, Mattie and Brian for hosting the event, their bartenders for working so hard for the large crowd, Scoti Simpson for coordinating the event, Mae Jones for coordinating the Fun Run, Julie Mitchell and Shelley Arnone for coordinating the Trail Ride, Marcus Gibson for serving as our auctioneer, Honeys and Nuts Cook Team for cooking all of the meat, Jamie and Rusty Girdley, along with their son Cole, for coordinating the live and silent auctions, all of the volunteers who helped the committee heads for all of their hard work, everyone who donated or bought an auction item, and all of our extremely dedicated members who came and voluntered their time to help with many different jobs, and show their support. Without fundraisers such as this, it would be very hard for us to continue helping families. Without our members who give so much of their time and themselves, there would be no Texas EquuSearch.

Below is a slideshow of the Fundraiser — please enjoy!

02/01/12 — I just heard from Debbie — Ron is off ventilator and is very alert. He is doing so well, and we know everyone’s prayers are being heard and answered. Thank you so much.

02/01/12 — Update from Debbie: I called the hospital at 3 a.m. and at 7 a.m. They told me Ron was stable all night, so that’s good. I slept really good last night first time in a few nights. I’ll keep all posted as new news come in. And again thank you all for your love and support.

01/31/12 — Ron had a triple bypass instead of quadruple, and the surgery went well. They were able to fix the arithmia. He will be in ICU until Friday — Debbie is with him in recovery at this time. Please continue saying prayers for our good friends and their family.

01/27/12 — One of our very valued members, Search Coordinator Ron Overman, has just learned that he is having emergency quadruple bypass surgery, but due to some issues that need to heal from a procedure he had today, it will not be performed until Tuesday, January 31, 2012, beginning at 6:30 a.m. We need all of our members and supporters to keep Ron, Debbie and all of their family members and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will update as we get information. He will remain at the VA Hospital in Houston, TX.

November 15, 2008 – Brandon Scott Rosales, age 23, was last seen in Bryan, Texas at around 3:00 am, Saturday morning. Brandon's body was discovered by Texas EquuSearch team members on 11/18/08.

01/24/12 — The trial for agggravated assault on Brandon Scott Rosales is underway. Please pray for Brandon’s family and friends during this stressful time. Also, please pray that Brandon and his family get justice for his untimely death.

November 15, 2008 – Brandon Scott Rosales, age 23, was last seen in Bryan, Texas at around 3:00 am, Saturday morning. He was wearing a Dark pair of denim jeans, a black long sleeved shirt under a black t-shirt with gold lettering, and black shoes. At around 5:00 am, Brandon’s ’95 Chevy, Tahoe was found in a cotton field, burned. Family members contacted local authorities to submit a missing persons report later that morning. Around 9:00 pm on the 15th, a report was taken by authorities, as foul play was suspected.

November 16th – Around 10:00 am, Sunday morning, the family was interviewed by KBTX, a local TV station. Texas EquuSearch was contacted later in the day and search efforts were initiated. KBTX ran the story for several days to help gain public support.

November 18th – Search and Recovery efforts began at 8:00 am, Tuesday morning. In less than 48 hours, Texas EquuSearch had coordinated a search and recovery mission. The public support was tremendous, as over 100 people joined in the search. By 9:00 am, teams had been split up to cover different areas, and the search was underway. At around 1:30 pm, Brandon’s body was found by Texas EquuSearch team members, just a few miles from where his truck was found burned. The families worst nightmare was confirmed. Brandon’s body was sent to Dallas later that day so an autopsy could be performed.

November 21st – Autopsy results were released to the family and media.

November 25th – A Rosary was held for Brandon on Tuesday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan, Texas. Visitation lasted from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Rosary was recited at 7:00 pm. Family and friends gathered in commemoration of Brandon and the “Shine” he left behind.

November 26th – Services were held at 11 am on Wednesday at St. Teresa Catholic Church, also in Bryan, Texas. Burial followed at the Bryan City Cemetery. “R.I.P. Brandon”

***Efforts are still underway to find those responsible for Brandon’s untimely death. Local Law Enforcement, Texas Rangers, and County Officials are working together to find the individual(s) who took Brandon’s life. At a later date, all the details of this case, including autopsy results, will be updated on a memorial web site that was set up for Brandon and his family. We want to be respectful of the law enforcement officials currently investigating this crime, and want to allow them enough time to do their part in bringing those responsible to justice. Please check back periodically for updates at www.brandonrosalesmemorial.com

Brandon’s family would like to personally thank Texas EquuSearch and all the volunteers who helped in recovering Brandon. The efforts of each individual will always be remembered. God Bless all or you for your generosity, time and sacrifice. In times of tragedy we are all tested to our very core, but by the grace of God we will all get through them. It’s the promise of our Lord and Savior, through family and friends, that we will find comfort and strength to remember Brandon and all the others who were taken from us too soon.

01/02/12 — Members of Texas EquuSearch are assisting in the multi-agency search for a Baton Rouge couple missing along the Bogue Chitto River in St. Tammany Parish, LA. It is feared that William Holloway, 63, and his wife, Kathy, 61, drowned in the river. They last contacted a relative about 3 p.m. Tuesday, and at 10 a.m. Wednesday, a passerby spotted their 14-foot aluminum, flat-bottom motorboat overturned on the Bogue Chitto’s waters. It was near a low spillway a mile from the Pearl River Navigational Canal’s Lock No. 3 boat launch on Sunday, January 1, 2012. Once notified of the situation, state wildlife agents said they retrieved the boat, which had some damage. Authorities discovered the couple’s car parked at the Lock No. 3 launch, and their possessions were abandoned at their campsite.

Searchers have been patrolling the shoreline and dragging the river. Friends and family of the missing have brought their own boats, including their son Thomas and daughter Elizabeth, offering crews extra sets of eyes and ice chests packed with sandwiches and beverages. Divers cannot be called out to the scene, DWF has noted, because the flow at the spillway is too turbulent, and concrete and log debris below the surface make such an operation even more treacherous.

Please keep Mr. and Mrs. Holloway in your prayers, along with their family and friends.
