07/22/10 — Our Director, Tim Miller, is in Ohio again searching for Michael Sheppard. Please continue to keep Michael’s family in your prayers.

05/06/10 — Texas EquuSearch was contacted on April 19, 2010, by the Ohio State Bureau of Criminal Investigations requesting assistance in the recovery of the remains of Michael Sheppard. Tim Miller has been in Ohio for the past week, along with Dennis Watters from Team Watters, our sonar expert. Additionally, two individuals from Underground Imaging Technologies, one of our resources for ground penetrating radar, have been assisting in the search. Texas EquuSearch has been working closely with the Ohio State Bureau of Criminal Investigations, the Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Perkins Township Police Department and the Central Ohio Canine Search and Rescue. A $5,000.00 reward is being offered for credible information leading to the discovery of Michael’s remains.

05/05/10 — Michael Sheppard, age 35, was last seen on May 8, 2003 in Huron County, OH. It is not known what Michael was wearing at the time of his disappearance. Please call the Ohio State Bureau of Criminal Investigations at (419) 353-4603 if you have any information.

Located Deceased: Cristina “Simeona” Fuentes, 89 Yrs., Houston, TX, 07/14/10

07/23/10 — A memorial funeral service for Cristina Fuentes will be on Saturday – July 24, 2010 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral home’s address is 8706 Almeda-Genoa (between Monroe Rd. and Clearwood St.) in Houston, Texas 77075. The service will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Any Texas EquuSearch member wishing to attend is welcome.

07/16/10 — We are very sad to report that the remains of Cristina Fuentes were located today. We want to extend a special thank you to our members for their immediate response to our call out. Please keep Ms. Fuentes’ family and friends in your prayers.

07/16/10 — We are starting an immediate search for Cristina “Simeona” Fuentes today, July 16, 2010. All available ATV and foot searchers please report to the Command Center, which will be located at the CT Church, 9701 Almeda Genoa, Houston, TX 77075. Please go to the brown building in the rear of the church. The Search Coordinator is Frank Black — his cell no. is (713) 301-6813.

07/16/10 — Cristina “Simeona” Fuentes, age 89, was last seen on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, around 4:30 a.m. in the area of Almeda Genoa and the Gulf Freeway in Houston, TX. Cristina was last seen wearing a black flowered shirt, yellow pants and pink slippers. Please call if you have any information.

Located Safe: Alma Quiroz, 47 Yrs., Pasadena, TX, 07/03/10

07/19/10 — We are happy to report that Alma Quiroz has been located safe and is with her family.

07/15/10 — Alma Quiroz, age 47, walked away from her home in Pasadena, Texas on July 3, 2010, and is in need of her medication for a medical issue. She was last known to have been in the area of FM 1960 W. @ I-45 in North Harris County, Texas. She was last known to be wearing a yellow shirt, jeans & white tennis shoes. Texas EquuSearch will be putting out a quarterly newsletter to keep our members more informed of what is happening in the organization. Each newsletter will contain a Search Tip, case summary of a few of our recent cases, special announcements and training schedules. Whether your resource is searching on foot, ATV, horse, boat or “Special Operations” … you are a very important part of this organization, and we thank you for everything you do.

07/08/10 — Raymond Smith, Jr. was located safe tonight and returned to his family. We want to thank everyone who was prepared to search for Mr. Smith.

07/08/10 — Raymond Smith, Jr., age 73, was last seen on Monday, July 5, 2010, in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Airport Boulevard in Houston, Texas. Raymond was last seen wearing a dark blue or black t-shirt, blue shorts, black socks, white tennis shoes and a rust colored cap. Raymond has multiple medical issues, and is in critical need of his medication and medical attention. Found Deceased: Augusta Marie Newmeyer, 23 Yrs., Lake Conroe, TX, 07/06/10

07/07/10 — The body of Augusta Newmeyer was recovered this morning in Lake Conroe, TX, near the location that she went in on Monday night. Special thanks go out to Montgomery County Constable Precinct 1, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the team from Texas EquuSearch who worked together in the successful recovery of Ms. Newmeyer. Ms. Newmeyer’s body was located prior to the severe weather moving into our area today. Search efforts would have possibly been halted until the weather moved through, which would have made it more difficult to locate her.

Please keep Augusta’s family and friends in your prayers during their time of grief.

TES New Member Orientation and Training, Saturday, September 25, 2010

Texas Equusearch Mounted Search and Recovery New Member Orientation andTraining will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the Bass Pro Shop in Pearland, Texas. The orientation and training is from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the upstairs conference room. The afternoon portion will be a field exercise, so please wear appropriate search clothing and shoes. 07/02/10 — Joseph David Anderson, age 8, was last seen on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. in Reedsburg, WI. Joseph is in need of medication. He was last seen wearing a red short sleeve t-shirt, red shorts with a black stripes down the side, and was wearing no shoes.
