02/10/10 — Texas EquuSearch is sending a small team to the Bahamas to conduct a search with local law enforcement for missing commercial pilot Travis Compton. Ralph Baird from Baird Petrophysical International has been assisting in the mapping for the past several weeks to try and determine the location of the private plane Mr. Compton was flying at the time radio contact was lost. At this time, a ground search is being planned for the area that his passenger’s remains were located.
02/10/10 — Travis Compton, age 44, was last heard from on Thursday, December 24, 2009, at around 11:00 a.m., when the Piper Aztec, fixed wing, multi-engine plane he was flying encountered engine trouble. He was gliding into the Plana Cays in the Southeast Bahamas.
