Message from Tim Miller

I would like to address some of the comments made by “so-called” experts about Texas EquuSearch in recent weeks. First of all, we have the most valuable members/volunteers of any organization in existence. Occasionally, we have had to do things which are not the “normal” for a search organization. Case in point, Misty Cummings – I made the decision to help Misty get away from a very volatile situation. She was in danger for her life, and I felt that if something happened to Misty, we would lose any chance of finding Haleigh. That is ALL this was about. So, I enlisted the help of one of our volunteers who had befriended Misty during our time in Satsuma, Donna Brock. Donna did a wonderful job in keeping Misty safe and, until the “road rage” incident, was doing so under the radar. This was not about media attention. Again, as I have said many times, I will use whatever resources that are at my disposal to find Haleigh.

At the time of this posting, I am on my way to another search. Before I go, I am on my way to deposit a small check I received from a construction job I did, into the Texas EquuSearch account so that we can help another family. (See copy below.)

Moffitt Check

We were able to help bring closure to another family yesterday with the help of some hard working Texas EquuSearch members, along with the help of the local community who so willingly helped us because of the work we have done and continue to do.

I would invite any person who sits, wearing a suit on television, to come and put your jeans and boots on and join us on a real search. I wonder who our “so-called experts” are.

I would like to quote Abraham Lincoln:

If I tried to read, much less answer all the criticisms made of me, and all the attacks leveled against me, this office would have to be closed for all other business. I do the very best I know how, the very best I know how, the very best I can, I mean to keep on doing this down to the very end.

    Tim,

I recently heard a saying that went, “Let your haters be your motivators”. Rather than bring you and your organization down, I hope you will use their undeserved criticism to propel you to continue doing the work that I believe you were called to do. I deeply admire and respect the work of your organization, and I think your true reward will be in Heaven. God bless you and all the volunteers and members of Texas Equusearch!

Tim, at the end of the day it’s about finding a missing child. Who gives a rats as% if it’s the usual or popular method. I just wish it didn’t bother you to the point you felt you needed to make a statement. I’m still sunburnt from the search in Matagorda. I don’t see any of the talking heads with battle wounds. Words don’t find the missing.
Keep up the great work, whatever that entails.

    Tim,,,

You are a remarkable man for the heart, drive, compassion that you have for these families. I’m honored and pleased to be a member of TES. You DO NOT owe us any explanations on what you do. You tell us what we need to know, when we need to know it. You instill in us the heart and the compassion to bring closer to these families that need us at their time of sorrow and heartache. We all love you and this organization and wouldn’t be with any other organization as this. We will all stand behind you and support any decisions that you make. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!! NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

    Love you,
    llana

I agree, let talking heads in suits put on their jeans, get down in the mud, seach in extreme tempretures & conditions……….then & ONLY then do they have the right to be critical.
Not only do I agree with keeping Misty safe so we might someday find Haleigh but as a human being it is the right thing to do. What kind of people would any of us be if we had informaiton someone’s life was in danger & we did not act. Imagine what would be being said about Tim then.
I am proud, VERY VERY PROUD to be a member of TES & would go anywhere to search for anyone they asked me to. If someone I knew were missing, it would be Tim Miller I would call to help me. NO ONE else does it better or with more compassion.
THANK YOU Tim & all the members of TES for doing what you do so well. THANK YOU all for giving up so much time, money, talent, engery to help those who can not help themselves. My family & I are proud to know you, to search with you & support you in any way we can. We love each & every one of you for what you do.
Tim, you are a good man, most everyone knows that. Don’t the few ( the very few) get you down. Know that we all will be at your side, when ever & where ever, regardless of the task.
God Bless & please, take good care of YOU

I am just so appalled at all of these news organizations. Just when u think one of them really cares then boom u can clearly see they are totally in it for ratings and this is it! God bless u Tim and all of the TES hard workers! God knows your hearts!!! I just want to share a scripture which I am sure u have heard before but is much fitting for the occasion!
Isaiah 54:17: no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will REFUTE every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and this is their VINDICATION from me,”
    declares the LORD.
I’m lookin forward to all that refuting lol!
    Much love and prayers!

    There are those who say.
    There are those that do.

When have the naysayers and critics in this world deterred anyone with the determination, dedication and drive to do the right thing?

Just as I donate to the “band camp” cookie sale and I don’t choose what instruments they play, I don’t feel you owe me an explanation as to how my money is spent when I donate to your organization. I have the faith that with your experience, your dedication and your results, you will use it in the manner needed to aid in the discovery of a missing child or adult. Faith is a wonderful thing.

Your life, your work, your dedication speak for themselves.
Hold your head high, Mr. Miller, there are many who are not worthy to put on a pair of boots, much less, take a walk in yours.

    God Bless You!
