We have been waiting 3 months to hear if this would be conducted or not. I hope that this can give us some answers. I was told by the US Consulate that it would take months to get a yes or no answer. The US Consulate also recently requested a welfare/whereabouts check in Belize. They have been asked to post the Missing person flyers in prominent locations and contact police, hospitals ect. My husband was a victim of foul play. Not knowing what happened to him is agonizing. I do have some theories that I have shared with the FBI and the Consulate. Hopefully they can be investigated, if we are ever granted a legitimate investigation instead of the farse that was conducted. Please continue to keep our family and Ronald in your prayers. Please do NOT go to Mexico. You are not safe anywhere there, and you can not trust anyone. I know this from personal experience. I heard from my contact last Tues 5/26 that they had been searching with dogs this time, but had no new leads. Also, the US and Dutch Embassy have requested a higher level investigation from the Mexican government. We are now waiting for their answer. Please keep our family and Ronald in your prayers.
