03/27/09 – 10:40am – Texas EquuSearch recovered 28 year old Tony Blocker this morning, deceased. Tony had disppeared while swimming on Tuesday about 40 yards from shore on a Galveston beach. We ask that you keep Tony’s family and loved ones in your prayers as they grieve the loss of their family member.

03/26/09 11:30am – We have moved our Command Center in the search for Tony Blocker. The new staging area is located in the 4900 block of Seawall Blvd, near the Holiday Inn, in Galveston, Texas. We are still in need of searchers on foot, ATV and horseback. If you have life jackets or binoculars, please bring them. Please see below for a map to the new Command Center:

The search for 28 year-old drowning victim Tony Blocker will begin in Galveston, Texas at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday – March 26th 2009. We will be staging at Stewart Beach Park, under the Harry Kahler Pavilion. Stewart Beach Park in located on Seawall Blvd. near Broadway. We will be needing foot searchers, horses and ATVs.
